Summary of the Role

In this role you will develop, execute and optimize digital campaigns across various social and paid channels for a variety of client in the areas of workforce and resident attraction, damage prevention, PSA and information campaigns. Experience in digital media production, communications and creative design is an asset, as the successful candidate would be working alongside these teams on collaborative projects.

What does the job entail?

  • Develop, test, schedule and deploy digital marketing campaigns with a high degree of accuracy and deliverability – ensuring compatibility and responsiveness across all platforms and devices.
  • Collaborate with other team members on strategy, planning, execution and measurement of campaigns and channel performance to ensure they align with the project’s overall goals. 
  • Effectively use all marketing tools and techniques like PPC, SEO, SEM, email, social media, and display advertising.
  • Basic copywriting, proofreading and editing to ensure compelling and converting content.
  • Optimize content for the website and social media platforms.
  • Coordinate the creation of new digital content (e.g. static, digital and video assets) with other team members.
  • Ongoing campaign management including daily monitoring of delivery performance (ROI), engagement and KPIs (including conducting continuous optimization and A/B testing).
  • Develop regular campaign reports.
  • Develop and lead Munro/Thompson’s digital marketing strategy, including supporting the website redevelopment project.
  • Stay up-to-date with social and digital media platforms updates and changes.
  • Support fellow team members with additional tasks as needed.

What are we looking for from you?

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, digital media, social media, communications, public relations, professional writing or similar field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar or related field; agency experience would be considered an asset.
  • Must be proficient in social media and digital media; having fully set up and executed  digital marketing campaigns. 
  • Knowledge of HTML, SEO, SEM/PPC experience (campaign setup, ad creation, keyword research, etc.) and Google Analytics (including Google Tag Manager).
  • Experience in public relations, strategic communications, design, and film production would be considered an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress, Adobe Creative Cloud, Mailchimp, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Trello, Slack and similar project management tools.
  • Excellent writing, editing and strong verbal communications skills and ability to weave current events, policy news, trends and data into insightful content for target audiences.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and local governments is considered an asset.

Work Arrangements

  • Main office is based in Vancouver – hybrid and/or remote working schedule possible based on experience
  • Occasional travel within British Columbia.
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Position type: Full-time salary (open to 30, 35 or 40 hour week)
Starting compensation: $25 – $28.84 per hour
Start date: ASAP
Close date: under the position is filled.
