Summary of the Role
As a Summer Communications Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience across agency communications, PR, film production and digital marketing. You’ll support our team in creating compelling content, assisting with campaign execution, and helping amplify client messaging across channels. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn, build skills in a creative environment, and gain practical experience in communications and marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and distributing communications materials (press releases, pitches, newsletters, blog posts, backgrounders, fact sheets, etc.).
- Support planning and execution of PR and marketing campaigns.
- Draft, edit, and publish engaging content for social media and digital channels.
- Conduct media research and help maintain media contact lists.
- Monitor and curate industry relevant media coverage and share with staff and clients.
- Contribute creative ideas during team brainstorming sessions.
- Administrative tasks including shipping and receiving of packages, office errands that include but are not limited to picking up production gear. Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle considered an asset, but not required.
- Support arranging and scheduling internal and external (client) meetings.
- Assist with taking meeting notes and producing action items.
- Provide film production support, including building and maintaining the production schedule, supporting rentals and gear transport, with the potential to support the team on site.
- Other communications, administrative or marketing duties that arise.
Who You Are
- Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
- An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable using social media platforms and digital tools, with a desire to continue developing your digital skillset.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Adaptable, proactive and demonstrates curiosity and a strong eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Brings enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a willingness to contribute wherever needed.
- Interested in how stories are told across video, social media, and digital platforms.
- Curious, punctual, creative, and eager to contribute ideas that bring stories and projects to life.

Work Arrangements
Location: Vancouver, BC
Type: Full-time, Hybrid (35 hrs/week), Paid Internship
Duration: 4 months (May–August) with possible extension
Compensation: $20/hr
