BACKGROUND

Northern British Columbia is home to natural beauty unparalleled by many locations in the world. Unfortunately, many people are unfamiliar with what the region has to offer.

WHERE WE CAME IN

Munro/Thompson was engaged by the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine (RDKS) and Nisga’a Lisims Government (NLG), with support from Northern Development Initiative Trust and Destination BC, to produce a short film showcasing the beauty and diversity of the land connected by northern British Columbia’s Nisga’a and Stewart-Cassiar Highways.

In collaboration with Absolute Cinema, Munro/Thompson worked with RDKS and NLG to capture some of the countless sights and sounds of the region over ten days during the summer of 2016.

The goal was to highlight the unique Aboriginal culture experiences, local wildlife and stunning beauty of the region’s landscapes, and compel tourists and locals alike to visit this breathtaking region of British Columbia.

“The dwelling places of supernatural beings.”
